Surgical Procedures

Not all skin cancers require surgery. Electronic brachytherapy offers a pain-free, non-surgical option with 95–98% cure rates. Ask about it at your consultation.

Skin Cancer Surgery

Mohs Micrographic Surgery — The gold standard for high-risk skin cancers. Tissue is removed layer by layer and examined in real time, with a 98–99% cure rate for primary basal cell carcinoma. We coordinate with local Mohs surgeons in Bucks and Montgomery Counties.

Excisional Surgery — Surgical removal of a skin cancer along with a margin of surrounding tissue. Often used for larger tumors.

Curettage & Electrodesiccation — Scraping plus a gentle electric current to remove superficial skin cancers, with a 90–95% cure rate for appropriate lesions.

Electronic Brachytherapy — A non-surgical alternative that uses targeted radiation with no incisions. Learn more on our Electronic Brachytherapy page.
