MOXI Laser Treatment in Sellersville & New Hope
Gentle laser resurfacing for sun damage, uneven tone, and early signs of aging.
MOXI is a non-ablative fractional laser (1927 nm) that treats the top layers of skin to improve sun damage, brown spots, fine lines, and rough texture with little downtime. At Alpha Dermatology, treatments are planned and overseen by board-certified dermatologist Dr. Daniel I. Shrager and performed in our Sellersville and New Hope offices.
What MOXI Treats
Sun spots and freckling from UV exposure
Uneven pigmentation and melasma-prone skin
Fine lines and dull, tired-looking skin
Rough texture and enlarged pores
Because it is non-ablative, MOXI is also a good maintenance or “prejuvenation” option for patients who want to keep skin healthy before deeper changes set in.
What to Expect
A topical numbing cream is applied, and the laser treatment itself takes about 15–30 minutes. Most patients describe a warm, prickling sensation. Skin looks pink or lightly sunburned for a day or two, and tiny dark “micro-crusts” flake away over about a week as new skin surfaces. Makeup can usually be worn the next day. Sun protection is essential during healing.
Is MOXI Right for Me?
MOXI can be used on all skin types and tones when settings are chosen appropriately, which is one reason we favor it over older resurfacing lasers. Most patients see the best results with a series of 3–4 sessions spaced about a month apart, and results build gradually as collagen remodels. Dr. Shrager will confirm you are a good candidate and screen for conditions that require special precautions, such as a history of cold sores or recent isotretinoin use.
MOXI vs. Other Laser Options
For deeper wrinkles, scarring, or significant laxity, a stronger treatment such as CO2 resurfacing or a combination approach may be recommended. We will tell you plainly which option fits your goals and your recovery time.
